Data controller

The controller is Konstantīns Pobilojs, operating Calcufetti.

Data we process

Depending on how you use Calcufetti, we may process:

• account data such as email address, password hash, verification status and security timestamps;
• calculations that you explicitly choose to save to your account;
• feedback messages, optional contact details and calculator values only when you expressly choose to attach them;
• technical security data such as IP address, user agent, request metadata and server error logs;
• privacy-minimized product analytics events containing an event name, public route, locale, page type, calculator identifier where applicable, URL path and general browser or device context;
• daily aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics totals and sufficiently populated country or device groups copied to PostHog without raw visitor events or person profiles;
• if you consent to Google Analytics, consented website analytics such as page views, sessions, acquisition source, device or browser context and engagement information. Calcufetti sends a page URL and referrer without query strings or fragments.

Calculator inputs and outputs, raw search queries, account identifiers and feedback text are not sent to analytics services. Calcufetti does not sell personal data.

Purposes and legal bases

• Providing accounts, saved calculations and requested features: performance of the service requested by you.
• Protecting accounts, preventing abuse and diagnosing failures: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable service.
• Understanding aggregate public-page use and whether calculators produce usable results through privacy-minimized analytics: our legitimate interest in improving Calcufetti.
• Using Google Analytics to understand consented sessions, acquisition and page engagement: your consent. Google Analytics does not load until you expressly allow it.
• Meeting legal obligations and responding to lawful requests: compliance with applicable law.
• Attaching optional calculator values to feedback: your consent, which you may withdraw for future processing.

Analytics

Calcufetti uses Cloudflare Web Analytics on public, indexable pages to understand aggregate visits and real-user page performance. According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies or local storage to collect usage metrics and does not track individual visitors across Cloudflare customers' sites.

Once daily, Calcufetti may copy a bounded aggregate for the previous UTC day from Cloudflare Web Analytics into PostHog EU so the two reporting sources can be compared. The copy contains total page views and visits plus country or normalized device groups only when a group has at least five page views. It does not contain raw visitor events, request paths, referrers, IP addresses, user agents, query strings, full URLs, Cloudflare visitor identifiers or Calcufetti account identifiers, and it does not create PostHog person profiles.

Calcufetti also uses PostHog on the same public, indexable pages to measure explicit page views, calculator form submissions, completed results and validation failures. Autocapture and session recording are disabled. The browser identifier is held in memory only and is not written to cookies or local storage. Full URLs, query strings and referrers are removed before events are sent. The PostHog project uses its EU endpoint and is configured to anonymize IP addresses at ingestion.

Google Analytics 4 is optional. Its tag is blocked until you select “Allow Google Analytics”. When enabled, Calcufetti sends an explicit page view using the page origin and pathname only; query strings and fragments are removed, and any referrer sent by Calcufetti is sanitized the same way. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied, and Google Signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled. Calcufetti does not use Google Analytics on account, authentication, password-reset, email-verification or feedback routes.

Your Google Analytics choice is stored in first-party local storage so Calcufetti can remember it. If you allow Google Analytics, Google may set first-party Analytics identifiers such as _ga and _ga_*. You can reopen “Google Analytics settings” in the site footer and decline later; Calcufetti then denies Analytics storage, removes those Analytics cookies where accessible to the site and does not load Google Analytics on subsequent page loads unless you allow it again.

Calculator input and output values, raw search queries, account identifiers and feedback text are not sent to Cloudflare Web Analytics, PostHog or Google Analytics by Calcufetti.

Browser extension

Calcufetti Extension processes selected values, measurement recognition and Unit Lens conversions locally in the browser. The current manual Unit Lens does not upload raw DOM or page contents, recognized values or annotations to Calcufetti. Calcufetti does not track what you convert.

Page-derived values are not written to persistent extension storage. The scratch tape and temporary per-tab state use browser session storage and are cleared with the relevant browser or extension session. The current manual Unit Lens uses Chrome's temporary activeTab access after an explicit user gesture rather than blanket host access to every website.

If Chrome refuses Unit Lens on an unsupported tab, the extension stores only the bare refusal state for that tab and session so it can show a truthful unavailable message. Chrome's refusal text may contain an address, so that text is discarded rather than stored or displayed. The current extension does not add behavioral telemetry solely for funnel optimization and does not inject ads or affiliate links.

The public Calcufetti website, including extension landing and support pages, is separate from local page processing inside the extension and may use the website analytics described above. If you voluntarily contact support, Calcufetti receives only the information you choose to send; the extension does not automatically attach the page URL or browsing context to a support message.

A future paid Pro entitlement flow may require minimum account or licence identifiers and communication with the payment operator. That operator has been selected: Paddle will act as Merchant of Record and will therefore process the payment and the buyer details it needs for that. Calcufetti Pro is not on sale yet, so no payment data is processed today; before it launches, the exact data flow will be documented here and in the relevant product disclosures. Under the approved product boundary, page URL, title, domain, recognized values, calculation inputs or outputs, and raw page or DOM content must not be attached to payment or entitlement requests.

Retention

• Unverified accounts are deleted after 30 days.
• Active accounts and saved calculations remain until you delete them or close the account.
• Deleted data expires from backups within 30 days.
• Feedback is retained for up to 12 months.
• Security and server logs are normally retained for 30 days, unless an incident requires longer preservation.

Service providers and international transfers

Calcufetti uses service providers for hosting, databases, backups and transactional email, Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate public-page usage and performance measurement, PostHog EU for privacy-minimized product events and the bounded Cloudflare aggregate described above, and Google Analytics only after consent for website acquisition and engagement measurement. The launch configuration prefers processing in the EU or EEA where the relevant service supports it. If a provider processes personal data outside the EEA, Calcufetti uses an applicable transfer mechanism and documents the transfer.

Cookies and local storage

Calcufetti uses storage required to provide requested functionality, maintain sessions and protect forms and accounts. Optional advertising cookies are not used. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to collect usage metrics. Calcufetti configures the PostHog browser client with memory-only persistence, so its analytics identifier is not stored in cookies or local storage and resets on a full page navigation.

For optional Google Analytics, Calcufetti stores your allow/decline choice in first-party local storage. Google Analytics is not loaded before an affirmative choice. If you allow it, Google Analytics may set first-party Analytics cookies; advertising storage and advertising personalization remain disabled.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact privacy@calcufetti.com.

Under Article 77 of the GDPR, you may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

Automated decisions and children

Calcufetti does not use personal data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. The service is not designed to collect special-category profiles or data from children.
