How the discount is calculated

The discount amount is rounded to the nearest cent using HALF_UP rounding. The rounded saving is then subtracted from the original price so the displayed amounts always add up.

Formulas

Discount amount = original price × discount percentage ÷ 100

Final price = original price − discount amount

Worked example

With an original price of €100.00 and a 20% discount, you save €20.00 and the final price is €80.00.
